CAIR: “Murder’s OK, but don’t mutilate.”

Pardon my tired sigh, but I can’t muster any surprise at the moment. The “loyal patriots” over at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) put out a press release on Wednesday with their reaction to the Fallujah corpse-piñata party:

CAIR condemns mutilation of bodies in Iraq
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today condemned the mutilation of those killed in Iraq on Wednesday. Four American civilian contractors were ambushed in their SUV’s, burned, mutilated, dragged through the streets and then hung from a bridge spanning the Euphrates River, according to news reports.
CAIR said the mutilations violated both Islamic and international norms of conduct during times of war and called on all parties to the conflict to respect the sanctity of the dead and the sensitivities of their families.
The Washington-based Islamic civil rights and advocacy group cited a tradition of the Prophet Muhammad that prohibits mutilating bodies (Hadith 654.3).
In another tradition, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Do not kill women or children, or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place.” (Al-Muwatta, Vol. 21, Hadith 9)
CAIR, America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group, is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has 25 regional offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada.

Awww, how sweet. Now how about adding something about not killing civilians, especially if they’re bringing you food? And what’s this irrelevant fluff about how Islamofascists ought to “respect the sanctity of the dead and the sensitivities of their families”? Try not killing them in the first place, you shifty crapweasels.
I’m left to conclude that this kind of thing must not be a problem (WARNING: graphic images) for followers of the Religion of Peace™.

  1. Unfortunately, the CIA and its agents pass themselves as civilian creating a confusion. Fighting an uninvited invader that killed more than 10,000 Iraqis and maimed countless others is not something that CAIR can speak against. For CAIR To say -“Try not killing them in the first place” would make it a party to the invasion of Iraq. But CAIR spreaking against mutilating the bodies is a universal truth that Muslims in Iraq must take note. If you want to talk about mutilation, consider the US sending 500 pound bombs on civilian homes under the pretext of locating a high value target. The victimes are pulverised that there is nothing to find.
The greatest crime was committed when the neoconservatives invaded Iraq.

  2. These guys weren’t CIA, they were security guards protecting a food shipment. Kindly explain to me how it’s acceptable to kill the people bringing you food. Is this a tenet of the Religion of Peace™?

  3. They said murder is ok…sure buddy…if you hate Islam why don’t you go around killing them?

  4. joblow,
CAIR condemned the mutilation only, not the murders themselves. What do you make of that omission?
As for why I don’t kill muslims I meet on the street … unlike the Islamists you defend, I do not make it my policy to kill random strangers. My sense of right and wrong doesn’t come from a savage seventh-century system of slaughter, subjugation, and conquest.
Why do you defend those scumbags?
